VidWare Vision™ Modular Versatile Primitives
are proprietary algorithms, methods, techniques, and
processes that are unique to VidWare, and target
performance, quality, reliability, and flexibility.
The main primitives consist of:

Processor
Optimized Streams
Video streams and file I/O are highly optimized by
reading and writing in bit quantities that are
directly suited to processor memory and register
configurations rather that using the traditional
bit-by-bit methodology. This also allows direct
manipulation of data rather than having to reformat
for processing.

E4 |
Energy-Efficient Entropy Encoding
This
technology significantly improves VidWare H.264
encoder efficiency by quickly and accurately
determining the best possible macro block
compression mode, thus yielding the highest-quality
image possible within in the smallest possible
bandwidth. The determination process is made
computationally efficient by only encoding the best
possible mode.

FQAM |
Flexible Quality Aware
Modules
Because the CODEC has been developed from the ground
up and not based on the JVT reference code, the
software has been designed in a modular and flexible
way. All critical modules have input, process, and
output test points and are self monitoring for
accuracy and conformance without adding to
processing power requirements. The modular design
allows for customization and future enhancements to
be performed very quickly.

Optimal Data
Structuring
Data
is structured at all levels for optimal performance.
Data structures and memory management are designed
to minimize memory I/O and repetitive computations,
maximizing performance.
